Collector or Klepto?

Hotel theft is a real challenge for the hospitality industry. Guests often justify taking hotel items home by calling them souvenirs. Some of the most unusual “souvenirs” stolen from hotel rooms include curtains, light fittings, a carpet (wonder how they got that past the doorman?) a grand piano and the hotelier’s pet dog!
In a frightening survey, 37% of travellers owned up to having pilfered items from their hotel rooms, among these TV sets and data projectors. Experts estimated that losses from hotel theft in the U.S.A totalled $100 million last year. As our country’s hotels prepare for a tidal wave of visitors in less than 100 days, our Flat Screen Locking Brackets have been flying off the shelves.

Designed to fit flat screens between 20 and 100”, the brackets have been designed to make both the screen and wiring tamper proof. Good news indeed for hoteliers who have the drama of having to replace stolen cables or track down missing tellies! We have successfully installed over 170 of these brackets at Monte Casino in Johannesburg. Click here to read the full story on our website.
